THE WALLS ARE FRAMED

Now that the foundation and footings have been poured, the concrete begins the curing process. It takes a minimum of 28 days for the concrete to reach it’s required structural strength. This doesn’t mean you can’t walk on the new slab the next day after the concrete is poured.

The contractor is now ready to begin the framing stage of the project. The lumber is dropped off at the site by a local lumber company the contractor has selected.

Next the framing contractors review the plans one more time before they begin to layout the bottom sill plates and then start framing up the walls on the slab.
